Abstract

This article describes the prevalence of teachers’ anxiety in the classroom, the problems that teaching anxiety can cause, and a set of myths about teachers and teaching that can make teaching anxiety worse. It also offers suggestions for combatting these myths in ways that make teaching more comfortable and productive for both students and teachers.
