Guidelines for Preparing a Review

Dear Reviewers,

The editorial board of the journal Psychology and Cognitive Sciences would like to express its gratitude for your contribution to ensuring the scientific quality of the published materials. Below are the main guidelines and structure for reviews intended to evaluate submitted manuscripts.

Objectives of the Review Process:

– to assess the originality and scientific novelty of the submitted work;

– to determine whether the article’s content aligns with the journal’s thematic focus and objectives;

– to provide recommendations for improving the quality of the scientific text;

– to conclude on the appropriateness of publication.

General Requirements for Reviews:

A review must be objective and impartial, based on a scholarly analysis of the manuscript’s content without regard to the reviewer’s personal or professional preferences.

Principles of confidentiality must be observed: information regarding the content of the manuscript and the authors (if available) must not be disclosed.

Comments and recommendations must be formulated in a polite and constructive manner, contain well-reasoned conclusions, and, where possible, include specific suggestions for revising the article.

- The reviewer should not provide any personal information.
